Future ripples from Recife | Playable City

Sorry if this is an ignorant statement! Can't wait to visit this beautiful country. I lived in both Recife 9 years and Natal 2 years , both places fantastic. In a way, Recife is a beach city like Salvador , only Salvador is more touristy, probably a bit more party scene, and very historical. Natal is a mini-Recife. I had great times living in both cities, but if you are just passing thru for a few days you might want to skip both and fly to Fernando de Noronha island, about a 45 minute flight from either Recife or Natal.

It's worth pointing out that you get to visit nearby Olinda if you do go to Recife. Fortaleza is great and you'll need some time to get out to the beaches outside the city. I just canceled my trip for that reason. You should be fine, but do keep alert! This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.

In the restaurant we always added the fettuccini to the pan. You may have to play around with it to get it to your taste. We used to add fresh chopped parsley on top but it was more of a garnish than flavoring. It's like a thick creamy sauce.

It's hard to describe but it's delicious. It's a type of pasta you can order from a restaurant. Very good, maybe try ordering it somewhere first and seeing if you like it. Or if someone your with orders it ask to try a bite. I would say roughly 1 cups worth? Maybe a little bit over 1 cup. But like I said I eyeball it.

And I add a little at a time so it's not just a mountain of parm all at once your trying to dissolve. Hey thanks for letting me know buddy. But out of fresh tomatoes and some bell peppers that my buddy at work gave me from his garden.

Also, don't throw out your egg white! Makes an awesome breakfast sandwich or omelette, with very high protein and low calories. It can also be frozen for later use in baking e. Try serving the sauce over spiralized zucchini. Throw in some shallots, mushrooms and shrimp for a delightful meal. I see the egg left out all the time.

And a lot of restaraunts will do it too. Cause it's a hassle to add the extra step. But adding the egg yolk is what makes it a "true" Alfredo sauce. It helps out the flavor a lot and the consistency once it cools and thickens. Lol I work night shifts but I feel ya. I made another batch before coming to work. But hey if you really want to try it, and your planning to stay up longer.

Then take Oreos and fully submerge them in the pancake mix so they're fully covered. Then fry it like a pancake. Ho-ly shit it's good.

It's so damn good. It makes the chocolate cookie part more like a soft cake. And the icing inside melts.. Your sauce sounds delicious, but you're incorrect. True Alfredo is pasta fettuccine typically with butter, tossed in a big ol' brick of parmesan tableside until well coated with the cheese.

It never had cream or eggs at all. It's by far the most common restaurant preparation. My understanding is that restaurants and most of everyone else shy away from the true recipe because it's laborious and time consuming, and a big pot of white cream sauce with cheese is a lot more efficient.

Though I may well be mistaken. I had cream-based alfredo on homemade fresh pasta tagliatelle at a tiny little restaurant a while ago run by one elderly Italian man.

It was one of the most amazing things I've ever eaten - silky, light as a feather somehow and fragrant with black pepper and a hint of nutmeg. Really puts to shame those gloppy, thick, heavy alfredos that make you feel like you're pregnant with a cheese-baby for the next 24 hours. Still, I do enjoy the low end alfredos. In my home town, a truck stop restaurant serves "honey garlic chicken alfredo" which is prepackaged chicken strips soaked in honey garlic sauce, sitting on top of a gigantic plate of fettuccine with cheese baby grade alfredo sauce that probably came in a vacuum bag, with probably a pound of mozzarella on top of that whole mess and baked.

Is it just for 1 person? A half-carton of heavy cream and slab of butter is a loooooooooooot of calories. As a fellow calorie-counter, everything in moderation! Something like alfredo sauce is also amazing on zoodles, but you can always just have a smaller portion alongside some steamed green beans and brussel sprouts, for example.

Filling, indulgent, but within the bounds of reason. Yea at the restaurant we made that as 1 serving. But of course when you order It from a restaurant especially as take out like we normally prepared it.

You have leftovers or enough to share between 2 people. You gotta be really really hungry to eat it all yourself lol. Thank you for sharing it with us! Alfredo is something thats very open to interpretation. I like adding a little cinnamon to it. Do you add anything special? Do let me know! Just the little bit of garlic powder. And the egg yolk of course.
