Farmers found the surface of the town moderately uneven, with fair soil that yielded good crops of grain, hay and apples. Watermills were established at the outlets of the larger ponds, with two sawmills at Swan Pond and another at Kennebunk Pond. Lumbering was a considerable source of income for many inhabitants.

We only stayed for one night but this is definitely a place that you can spend a week away at. I would absolutely come back to this place! The location is wonderful with all beaches and amazing restaurants nearby and Daniel the host was great with recommendations.

Also, there was great attention to detail in the unit which was very nice to see. To top it off there is also a hot tub and several bicycles that guests can use to bike over to nearby locations. This was a great location and an outstanding value. The travel tips were very helpful. I had the Blueberry fritter at Congdon's donuts and it was fabulous. The shower was large and very clean. There was a step up to get into it.

The refrigerator was large and worked well. Our ice packs actually re-froze- something that does not happen in a little hotel refrigerator. The downstairs room is quite spacious - like a suite. Happy with our stay and Daniel was a diligent host providing clear instructions and excellent recommendations in the area.

The apartment itself was clean and orderly and exceeded our expectations. Good value for the money. The Nest is minutes from town but quiet and serene. It was clean and true to the description. We enjoyed our stacy! Emily and Aaron have created a real-life Pinterest pin in their charming studio home. The attention to detail is superb as one quickly gathers when you notice the different drinking vessels available. You'll never have to drink wine or champs out of a pint glass!

The backyard space features a fantastic oasis with lighted trees around the property as you stare up above at the magnificent sky during a s'mores and wine relaxation moment.

I can't wait to find another excuse to head back up North to visit again. Hidden by Airbnb Maps didn't register. It was close to town a long walk, but a short drive and there was a free parking lot on the way to town we could park in. The place is beautifully decorated and Emily leaves so many thoughtful touches Keurig cups, water in the fridge, tourist books, etc.

Came for Christmas Prelude and this place was perfect!! Cozy and private studio close to all the action in Kennebunkport. Beautifully decorated with all the amenities you could need. Aaron and Emily are great hosts, give you your privacy but are there if you need anything.

Great little bungalow tucked in the woods. Perfect for two wanting to escape the city for a few days of peace and quiet. Clean, unique, and cozy. Close to town makes it convenient to do things. Perfect alternative to staying in a hotel. Unit was clean and well designed. Short drive to town.

Would stay there again! Michelle and Dan were great hosts and their house is beautiful. Even with another guest staying, it felt like a very personal experience, not clinical like a hotel. They even left a little packet of complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste, tissues, etc. The grounds were beautiful as well, with a pond, gardens, and a nice porch swing. Great first airbnb experience! Overall, my sister and I had a very positive experience staying at Michelle and Daniel's home. The suite was clean and spacious.

The bathroom was a great size, featuring a double vanity. The house is situated in a very quiet neighborhood but everything was in a reasonable driving distance. We felt we had an authentic Maine experience and we recommend it for anyone looking for a tranquil, relaxing atmosphere! Truly a great get away Michelle and Daniel were amazing hosts!

Their home is spacious and quiet and we slept great. Our stay was brief, so my only regret is that we weren't able to stick around later. In the morning we were provided delicious homemade muffins and coffee. Michelle' s place was truly amazing, beyond our expectations. Her place was not only stylish but very cozy. Everything was super clean and neat. The bathroom was very spacious with his and her sinks.

The bed was very comfortable. We woke up to fresh air and birds singing. I felt like I was staying at a resort hotel. They have a huge property with lots of trees and greens, very relaxing. Michelle and her husband, Daniel, even allowed us to relax in their backyard after check-out. We also had a chance to taste Michelle's famous muffins, they were amazing!

Daniel made us coffee too - they are such a lovely couple. I highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. We left thinking how much better it was to stay here than a hotel in the area. Great value and wonderful hosts! Michelle, Daniel, and Stephanie are a great family on a little beautiful farm in nowhere Maine. Secluded, quiet, spacious and soooo comfortable; exactly what we were looking for.

They are so nice and the muffins were delicious. It was relaxing and warm and the only thing I missed was hearing the wild turkeys in the morning. We enjoyed meeting Nate and he is so much like our last companion at home. If you want to get away and just relax and be with some great folks, this is the place. Beautiful room and home with lovely hosts. Communication was great and the muffins were amazing on our way out the door! Your place is great! The space was clean, it was relatively close to everything, and it had great kitchen amenities!

I also really appreciated your responsiveness. Five stars across the board — huge value for the price, great location, and excellent communication from the host. Thanks to Daniel for being an excellent host. The captain's room is an amazing studio and it was very affordable as I was staying there during the week. The place was very clean and it was close to a lot of the nice beaches and restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to head up to Maine for some vacation time or business trip time.

My husband and I were visiting the area for our first time, so we were a bit unsure of our check-in time as we were having such a blast! Giant kitchen, plenty of travel products in bathroom, and working AC. We booked Daniel's place at the last minute for a weekend getaway to Ogunquit Beach.

Daniel's place was the perfect location for what we had planned for the weekend. We were more than pleased with the size and cleanliness of our unit main floor at the front of the building. We have stayed in several BNB's in the area over the years and Daniel's is by far the best value for the money.

Quick responses, accommodating to special requests, everything that is advertised is there, and more! Nina is a fantastic host and was generous with her time, allowing us to visit the farm animals, learn their stories and even feed them. Truly unique, pleasant stay. There's a very nice kitchen and we made use of it with farm-fresh eggs Nina supplied. It's true what Nina says about a steep climb to a loft-like bedroom, but we're agile people and this wasn't a problem.

We would highly recommend staying here for a wonderful break from the city. The Lily Brook Farm apartment was a perfect choice for a unique place to stay near Portland. It was nice to be off the beaten path and not in a busy downtown area and not in a suburban, boring chain hotel.

Nina was a great host and very nice to talk to. The fresh eggs were wonderful! We got a tour of the property and animals and our month-old daughter loved it! I think she was in awe of seeing animals up close. It was very cool to look out the window and see the sheep right there! The farm was close enough to some of the more touristy areas so we were easily able to visit Portland, Kennebunkport, etc. Cute apartment and perfect choice for us.

Gave us a quick tour of the grounds, showed us the cozy accommodations, and was helpful and offered directions for fun things to do for both us and our dog. We enjoyed our time on Lily Brook Farm and the surrounding areas. Nina made us feel very welcome. Nina was so great to us! The apartment was so cozy and we were welcomed with fresh muffins and eggs. The farm was at our disposal and we were able to spend time as much time as we wanted with the animals.

We also brought our puppy with us and Nina was great about allowing him to join us. I highly recommend Lily Brook Farm for any get away! Nina's flat offers a unique, peaceful experience. With a farm right outside your window and a pond just steps away, where you can take in all the animals and bucolic setting, it makes for a great getaway for someone who wants to unplug and have a different type of vacation. There is Wi-Fi, TV, etc.

The farm is about a minute drive from Portland. Nina is a good host -- clear check-in instructions, farm-fresh eggs and muffins waiting for you, answers to all your questions -- and everything was as it appeared in the photos and the description including the stairs; they are indeed very steep, as described.

While I would stay here again and recommend the flat given the above, it might not be for everyone. I had a positive stay, and if you love animals and want the farm experience, this is for you. We had a wonderful stay at Nina's farm. The apartment in the old farmhouse was warm and cozy, painted in bright cheery colors.

We appreciated the apple cider and Maine maple syrup mixed some in with our daughter's baby food! Nina was very friendly, met us when we got there, and then showed us all around the farm the next day. We loved being able to see the animals.

Nina was a fantastic host. She provided us with muffins and drinks to enjoy during our stay. Everything that we needed for the stay was in the apartment, from dog treats to towels. She has a beautiful farm and we were able to hike on the property with our dog. It's in a rural neighborhood, about 25 minutes away from downtown Portland. Listing description was accurate. Cool farm and nice little apartment. Everything in the listing is accurate. The bed was comfortable and Nina left out muffins, apples, coffee, and a few other groceries for us.

We got there late but had no trouble following her instruction in getting to the apartment. We met her in the morning and she was very friendly. The farm is a real farm so it feels a bit rustic but there were all the amenities you would need wifi, cable, heaters, etc. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious. We really appreciated how Daniel went above and beyond with the toiletries and amenities.

Great value, excellent communication, and great place to stay! Good location and great value. Daniel was very thorough and welcoming. Very quick to respond to my questions. Coffee, mini fridge, toiletries and a list of things to do: Excellent place, phenomenal value. Clean, comfortable in a great location with an accommodating and responsive host. You will not want to leave it feels like you are relaxing at home and Daniel goes above and beyond on the small touches that make it feel personal.

Also Daniel provides a lot of information about local attractions including directions and personal reviews. He provided very fast responses and gave tips for local things to do. He is a super host with which he has many rooms that are convenient to get into separately and he is constantly improving his establishment and service.

Joe and andrea were very kind and informed us about nice places like the boulangerie and Parsons beach. We've had a wonderful time at kennebunk and kennebunkport! Thoughtful and conscientious host. The place is charming and well appointed. The shower, however, is outside and the bathroom very tiny. Adds character but I would have preferred a full bathroom.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Andreas for one night, and had a fantastic experience. We met her husband Joe upon arrival and he was super helpful as we ended up getting lost and going to the wrong address at first! Joe told us all about the neighborhood and was happy to show us around his property. We absolutely loved the outdoor shower that was definitely a perk of this location.

I have used outdoor showers before and this was definitely the best one, it was kept clean and was so cute with a tree growing inside and little lights as well! The bedrooms were spotless and the bed and blankets were very comfy. The whole home had an antique charm and Andrea and her husband thoughtfully decorated their home.

We would love to return the next time we are in the area. Andrea and Joe were both kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable hosts. They made every effort to help me get to know the area and also allow me time on my own. They cared to get to know me and my plans, in general. Their space is beautiful and so was Kennebunk. I had a wonderful time with them. Probably the only thing to note was that they were still building an outdoor shower so I used their downstairs personal shower during this time.

Our stay with Joe and Andrea was great! The accommodations were exactly as described. A very comfortable stay. Joe and Andrea were very helpful and friendly. They helped us find amazing places in the Kennebunkport area. We would certainly stay there again. This was such a wonderful stay. It was close to a remote beach and it was fantastic. I loved it we will definitely be coming back.

We had a cozy night and Andrea and Joe were very helpful with infos about the beaches and town. A nice place to explore Kennebunk and the surrounding beaches.

Only minutes from the cute shops in town or from breakfast for example. We definetely recommend this place! The Songbird Suite is in a safe, secluded neighborhood. The room is private and cozy with its own bathroom. Wish we could have stayed longer! I had a great time staying with Ann. Her house is in a great location. My room was very nice and comfortable. Just had to make sure that Mario the cat stayed out of it!

I would recommend staying with her. I hope to come back some say. Ann was very nice to keep a key out for me along with a welcoming note. Though we didn't get to meet, the process was nice and smooth. It was a quick trip into Kennebunkport for a wedding I was going to there and it was much cheaper than the hotel options nearby. Such a beautiful part of the country. Ann is very welcoming and helped us get settled in our bedroom suite.

Extra touches such as beach Parking pass, beach chairs and towels, sun screen were appreciated. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot and tea There is a nice deck out back to enjoy. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with extras such as soaps and shampoo. Neighborhood is quiet and safe and about a 15 minute drive to Kennebunkport and beaches. There is a bike path , thevEastern Trail, about 10 minutes away. Ann was very accommodating and flexible with our late arrival time.

She was friendly and welcoming and made my mother and I feel at home. The room was very cute, with charming details that gave a comforting vibe to this quaint Maine abode.

There was a private bathroom off the bedroom with free personal items like a bar of soap, body loofa and products. Clean towels were also provided. I was very happy with the overall stay and would recommend this quaint space for a stay in this lovely area of Maine.

My sister and I had a lovely stay at Linda's home. It was quaint, homey, and also roomy! We had everything we needed and slept very well both nights. Linda was nearby to greet us and answer any questions. The location was perfect for our trip too. I definitely recommend this stay.

Stayed at Linda's cozy and antique filled one bedroom apartment during our road trip to Maine. Super easy access to Portland, Ogunquit and Kennibunkport from here. Linda was around but we had complete privacy in this space. We had our tiny dog with us who is well behaved- but owner beware there are big beautiful rugs everywhere!

We did not explore Saco much but the downtown strip is walkable from her place. Linda's apartment was great for us a couple with a 1. The pros list might seem shorter than the cons list, but I just want to make sure people know some specifics. Overall this place was excellent and we'd definitely come back again. It was a 2 minute walk to a fantastic coffee shop with gluten free options!

We had to do some baby proofing when we got there, like take the flat screen TV off the table and block off a tall glass shelf in the corner of the kitchen. No table to eat at. There was a standing island in the kitchen on wheels but no stools or anything, so you sit and eat in the living room.

That was fine for us but I imagine there are some who might not be into that. There was a noticeable amount of small paint chips scattered throughout. As parents concerned about lead poisoning, this was a little disconcerting, but the place was otherwise pretty clean and totally fine for anyone without small children. I thought the yard might be fenced in from looking at the pictures, but it's not. It's still a private yard but you can't just let your dog run around.

And like I said, the area is nice so walking your dog around the neighborhood isn't a problem. It is in a nice area, close to the beach, and 25 min from Portland. The place was very clean, with a lot of character. The bed was also comfortable, which is always a plus. Apartment was perfect for my friend and me for our 3-night stay. Just like in the photos! Clean, comfy and spacious, with a great shower, too. Futon is firm yet comfy if you are in need of a second bed, located in its own private nook off of the living room.

Kitchen has all the basics. We enjoyed day trips to Portland, and Kennebunkport and time spent with our friend who lives in Old Orchard Beach, as well as relaxing time spent in this sweet apartment. It does however need some TLC. Linda was a great host. She was easy to reach, answered any questions and offered recommendations. The place was cozy and had a lot of character, exactly as described.

The location was perfect, located between Portland and Kennebunkport, both which we took day trips to. Perfect for our weekend getaway! Very central to Portland and Kennebunkport, which is great since we split our time pretty evenly between the two. The main bedroom is located at the front of the house which means a lot of ambient noise and light from outside lights are issues, we brought a sound machine which helped.

A wonderful apartment in a good, walkable location, close to everything. Ed is a great host, flexible and accommodating in case of any issues. We will definitely try to stay here again when we return to town. Edward's place was super cozy, loved everything about it.

The decor was awesome. The bed and couch were super comfy. Bathroom was very spacious. It's a nice walk to downtown Old Port , about 20 minutes but very doable. Parking spot was clutch. If we were to come back to Portland, we would definitely stay here again. Location, location is a great place to stay while visiting Portland. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well furnished so, if we stayed longer we could have taken advantage of cooking meals.

Of course, who would want to with the variety of restaurants in Portland, some of which were within walking distance. In fact we were within walking distance of many places.

Location, location really is an accurate description. The parking spot will accomodate a compact car and we had a mid-size truck, so we parked on the street when possible. Overnight, we were able to pull our truck off the street enough to clear most of the sidewalk and that seemed to work. We would not hesitate to recommend Edward's place to anyone looking to visit Portland.

We had a great time. It is important to note that this spot is right next to a laundry mat which is very convenient if needed. Location is very good. This apt was in a great location in a quiet, residential neighborhood that was still close to everywhere you wanted to be.

It was spacious and artsy, and felt like a true Portland respite. Edward was the perfect host. He was so flexible with check in and helpful with any questions I had.

Parking was available off street, which was great. The apartment is so comfortable and has a wonderful charm. The location is perfect and walkable to many great spots in town. A great stay and a great host! Great little apartment that was in the perfect location within walking distance to many restaurants in the neighborhood. We loved our stay! Christine's place is the perfect base from which to explore the towns and beaches of southern Maine.

The home is charming and tastefully decorated, with some particularly lovely outdoor spots. Christine was responsive and provided for all our needs, and her knowledge of the local area enhanced our visit!

The stately house with a commodious porch is on a quiet street, yet it is only a five minute walk to shopping and dining on an attractive main street. It is a short drive to some spectacular Maine shoreline scenery and quaint villages. The home is comfortable and family-oriented. Our room was spacious and airy.

This is an easy place to relax in. Christine was very welcoming and hospitable. My last minute reservation could not have been in a more convenient and charming place. Her home is very close to Main St, where you'll find shops and eateries, just a moderate walk away. Parking is ample and off-street. Positioned in a tree lined neighborhood, sitting on the porch is a must do for late afternoon wine and conversation. The feel of yesteryear and a comfy bed, all make for a relaxing Website hidden by Airbnb was just too short.

What a fabulous host and great place. She offered a stroller for us to use, call a restaurant for us, provided tea and coffee in the morning, I can go on and on Oh and teh room were super clean. The town is small but very cute and not super touristy, which we loved as it felt like we stayed with the locals. You can walk 2 min and be right "downtown" where you have a few cute restaurant.

Christine is truly a "super hostess! Her beautiful home is well-appointed, spacious, immaculate and very comfortable. The beds, pillows, bed linens and towels are all very plush and comfortable.

Christine is very accommodating and she responds to all messages in a timely manner. She has great suggestions for sightseeing and eateries. Anything a guest could possibly need was provided. One thing that was so convenient was that Christine provided a beach parking pass and all the beach equipment you could possibly need. I will definitely book my next stay in Kennebunk at Christine's beautiful home. This is a well decorated room and bathroom with everything one needs for comfort.

Great location to Kennebunkport and other beach towns. We had a great stay. Christine's place is really lovely, we had the upstairs to ourselves, as there was no other guests during our stay. She has a beautiful heritage home. Spent some time on the beautiful porch. Everything was clean and as advertised. Christine gave us some good recommendations on local restaurants and attractions.

The s farmhouse provided a great spot for four adults and two children during our vacation in Saco, Maine. This is a beautiful home with a huge yard. The children had a great gym set in the backyard that they love dto play on.

Guy has even stocked the house with beach chairs and toys. We had everything that we could have ever asked for. The home was perfectly clean. Having an Apple TV in the living room and in the master bedroom was a huge plus for us. We really enjoyed being close to Ferry Beach State Park. This is a much nicer and quieter beach than nearby Old Orchard Beach.

Guy has considered everything that a family could want in a vacation home. I would not hesitate to recommend this Airbnb to anyone. However, the place was super cozy and comfortable with a number of thoughtful and creative. Having the kitchen area made for a homey environment and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again and for longer if in the area again! The space here is amazing. I woukdn't necessarily recommend it for longer term stays, but it is very well designed and comfortable.

The room and bathroom have higher quality materials and amenities than you might expect from an AirBnB at that price. The kitchenette and free snacks were a plus.

What a wonderful place! Super clean and well appointed. The studio had everything that we needed and more. The rain shower shower was a great bonus! I wish that we could have stayed longer! We loved our stay in this cozy little barnwood studio. It had everything we needed for our visit and more. We were amazed by how many amenities they fit so efficiently in this beautifully crafted space.

The space was very clean and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the deck space was an added bonus. We enjoyed bike rides and walks to the beach and the quaint surrounding towns.

Be sure to check out the ice cream shop two doors down and the Cia cafe. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. We look forward to coming back! This place was perfect for us. Guy communicated with us clearly with details about access to the unit. The studio appears to have recently renovated to very high standards - great word work, antique fixtures, and the place was squeaky clean. It was in a great location - a quiet and sleepy road. And it was a close drive to a couple of quaint New England seaside towns.

We would stay there again. We loved the attention to detail that Guy put into the room. This is the place to stay in Saco! This was perfect for a night away, and the room was so beautiful and clean!

Comes with everything you need to cook with and some toiletries to use in the shower. This was my second stay at Gail's cottage and I've already booked another. Lovely place and host, and quite peaceful. The description provided in the listing is accurate. Amazing and adorable little cottage! Enjoyed our stay immensely and may even come back again in the spring!

Gail and Neil are kind and thoughtful hosts. Great to be in a lush green environment! My husband and I are vegetarian and really enjoyed dinner at the Thisle Pig. This was absolutely perfect for someone who just needs to get away for awhile or if you just need a spot to sleep at while you run around and explore the beautiful state of Maine.

Very clean, and tidy and so much to offer. Perfect for someone with an open mind: Yes the train tracks are right beside the cottage and the train does pass through quite often, but I grew to enjoy it during my stay. You can tell which type of train is coming through by the speed and the horn. Gail was the perfect host. Willing to help you any way she could. Very sweet and a wonderful baker!!! The muffins were delicious.

Well worth to go exploring through as well. Only 20 minutes to the closest beach. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Gail's sweet little cottage. Her property is peaceful and quiet. She is a kind hearted and welcoming host. The cottage is beautifully decorated inside and out and the bed is super comfy: I would highly recommend staying here if you get a chance! I will definitely come back next time I am in the area. Though we only stayed one night this place was great.

The host was especially helpful with any requirements we had and gave us great dinner suggestions! The loft is beautiful and large with everything you could possibly need at your disposal. We will definitely try to be back Peter is an animal lover and gracious host who set out more than enough pillows and fresh linens as well as a handwritten note and even a few dog biscuits.

Coordinating with him was a pleasure and staying at the historic house was relaxing and comfortable for two humans and a dog. The space is even larger than it appears in photos and the backyard is a real gem - we spent most of our time out back.

Nice, quiet spot with a Subway and animal hospital just down the street and Portland a very short drive away. Would absolutely stay again. When we booked this Airbnb we did not expect the eclectic ambience filled with stories that we found, nor did we expect to feel as though Peter was a dear friend by the time we left.

The home is nothing short from breathtaking he even allowed us to explore his portion meeting his very sweet kitty cats. I cannot rave enough about his hospitality and how welcoming he was to our two dogs an American Staffordshire Terrier, and a Chihuahua Staffordshire mix. It is extremely hard to find places that do not execute breed specific regulation on dog owners and his love for animals filled our hearts with so much happiness.

If you are currently reading this reviewing to decide whether or not to book with Peter, do it, and do it now before someone else books your dates. You'd be missing out on a spectacular experience if you passed on this opportunity. Bravo, bravo, bravo-- thank you, our new friend -- for everything. We look forward to seeing you in the near future. Xo-- Jenny, Joe, Bentley, and Orielles!

Peter's place is absolutely gorgeous. It is clear that so much thought and effort went into the suite and there are amazing little vintage touches everywhere. This Airbnb is in a great location about 15 mins from downtown Portland.

If you don't want to worry about parking, take a Website hidden by Airbnb easy. Peter was the most gracious host and a super fun and interesting person to talk to. Go stay at his magical antique filled space and have a fabulous trip to Maine.

What a lovely place! Although we didn't meet face to face, Peter was a welcoming and easy to reach host and we enjoyed our stay so much we would definitely consider staying here next time we're in Portland.

The location isn't far from all the places we wanted to go and the space is comfortable and beautiful. Cannot recommend Peter's place more! He left a little treat for my pups as well as a water dish. The communication was very fast if I needed something. The place was so clean and stocked with everything we needed even rags for the dogs to wipe their paws.

We got a personalized note when we arrived that explained everything we needed as well. This was my first AirBnB experience and it was more than I expected. We already want to come back in the summertime. The loft was also decorated so nicely and was cool to see all the antique fixtures.

I recommend Peter and his place to anyone!! Thank you times a million Peter. He is such a warm and caring person, he instantly made our little family of four feel right at home. I have to say he was especially kind and thoughtful with our toddler and baby boys.

It was always very easy to reach him if we ever needed anything, but nothing was missing in the apartment. There were plenty of towels and pillows, and the day bed is also really comfortable to sleep on! So many thoughtful touches are scattered throughout the place. What a beautiful outdoor space too! We will definitely be coming back here whenever we make it back to Portland! Brenda is a great host. The pictures on the website do not do the accommodations justice. The house is much more charming and inviting then the photos make it appear.

Book it, you will enjoy it. Brenda was a wonderful host! Her farm house was lovely and had a beautiful view of the river. The room was clean, warm and very comfortable. Brenda made every effort to make sure I enjoyed myself, and gave me some great recommendations on things to see or do in the area.

She also has had some fascinating travel experiences herself, which she happily shared over a warm cup of tea. I would definitely recommend staying with Brenda, and will be looking her up if I am ever in the area again! Brenda's home is rustic and charming, with a beautiful spot along the Saco River. My son Brian kayaked with Brenda's help. She even took a video of him paddling and send it to us. I would definitely stay with her again. The room we stayed in was comfortable.

Brenda served us farm fresh eggs fresh baked English muffins and homemade jam! What a great host she is. Brenda is so kind and nice.

The house is so clean and cozy. Brenda lets you taste fresh goat milk and eggs. I definitely want to visit again anytime soon!!! A cozy home, welcoming and friendly. Beautiful spot by the river. Would be great at any time of year. Staying with Brenda was a wonderful experience. She invited us to make ourselves at home and we truly felt like we could. We appreciated having lots of space including the kitchen, bathroom and beautiful surroundings. Our room was comfortable and the house has a rustic, simple beauty in all the details.

It was nice to have a quiet place out in the country on the river to relax and also be able to enjoy the surrounding towns and nearby Portland. The house was clean and even better than we expected.

We enjoyed getting to know Brenda and also felt like we had our own space. We highly recommend J's Riverview Farm Hostel! Brenda is a gentle, generous and gracious host. The house isn't fancy, but is a welcoming clean space that had everything I needed to feel comfortable. The river is literally a stone's throw from the house; one both falls asleep and wakes to the sound of moving water. The swimming hole is a great place to sit and read, as well.

If one is looking for a fancy place to go, this wouldn't be the best choice. But, for a relaxing and easy space to be in, good people to be around, and with both Portland and nature within close proximity, this is a perfect choice.

I had a lovely time there, and plan to go back again. Brenda was very sweet and welcoming and worked hard to make my stay great. The river is absolutely stunning and the drive to Portland is easy. Pat was a fabulous hostess! The house is beautifully decorated! We seriously fell in love as soon as we entered the place. Pats house is beautiful, love the interior design and all the art work your daughter has all over the house, everything was clean, pat was available to speak to through out the duration of our stay.

Thank you so much, I really enjoyed this house. So close to many places! This place is so nice! From the outside, in, the place has so much cute art and cool furniture. Would be great for a few friends or family! Pat kept the outside super well lit up, as we got in really late at night!

The place was very clean and Pat even left coffee for us. Nothing to complain about. This space was well designed and thought out for a very comfortable stay. Extremely Clean and crisp! My two kids, ages 11 and 8, were able to enjoy this home and we felt spread out enough - having a nice space to eat and relax was accomplished by staying here! The darkening shades were a huge plus. Having ice cube trays was a small detail that was appreciated.

The living space was very cozy to enjoy a movie together at night. Large kitchen counter and dining room table was a perk and we felt right at home. We would absolutely stay again and also enjoyed the artwork all around! Very tastefully decorated with many artistic details.

We had a really relaxing time there. Pat's apartment is a pretty good spot for a stay in the area of Biddeford, Saco and old orchard. Located in a quiet and safe area.

The apartment is really spacious so 4 people can have their own private spot. The place is clean and cozy. Didn't have the chance to meet Pat but communications were easy and felt that Pat was there for us if needed. Jessica is a very attentive host. Always available via phone. Quick with a response, suggestion or idea.

The place small quaint and soooo close to the beach.
